I chose this image for my front cover as I thought it complied well with the 'indie look' that models on the cover of other music magazines have, such as NME and Q. The models on the cover of these magazines look almost moody and emotionless, they have minimal make-up and are making direct address. I also used a photography studio and a different DSLR to take this image, which I did not for previous photo shoots and so the quality and brightness of the picture is a lot better and more professional looking. On the 2 previous photoshoots I used my phone which produced a low quality photo and another older DLSR camera which did not work as well as the one I used on the 3rd photo shoot. Before taking the pictures my aim was to take a picture which had:  direct address, good quality and lighting, a white background, medium-close up, female model with brown hair, moody facial expression but quite open body language and wearing clothes of a colour that fit with my colour scheme: white, black or red. Overall, I think the chosen image complies with all of my desires for the image.
