Having studied this magazine front cover I can now see the typical codes and conventions of an indie/alternative music magazine, for example; a skyline, puff, menu strip and main image. This research will help me to create a music magazine of the indie/alternative genre with a sound understanding of the components that are needed in order to attract it's audience and to compete with other magazines of the same genre in the competetive marketplace.
