Masthead Decision

Today I made the final decision on the masthead that I will use on the front cover of my magazine. After contemplating for a while, as I had made quite a few different mastheads, I chose the masthead below due to its similarity to other mastheads of magazines of the same genre as my own. I particularily like the black outline and the satinised/dark red that fills the letters as I think it will really stand out over the white background that my magazine will have and also accurately follows the codes and conventions of the Indie music genre that often contain lots of dark red and black colours.
