Decision on Layout for Music Magazine

I have decided to use this layout for the front cover of my magazine. The inspiration for this style of cover came from my extensive research into other magazine front covers and seeing how they were laid out. I like this layout in particular as it isn't too crowded but still contains enough of the codes and conventions to make it appealing to the reader.

I have decided to use this style of layout for my contents page. I chose this layout because it does not contain too much text and therefore crowd the page and give too much away about the contents of the magazine, it has a lot of room for images which will interest and appeal to my younger target audience.

This is going to be the layout for my double page spread; I have chosen this style of layout as again it is not too crowded but isn't basic. A lot of the page is going to be taken up with the image which will appeal to my younger audience and the text is split into rows and columns to make it easier to follow and look more interesting on the page.
